Every year 3.5 billion trees are lost. This has disastrous consequences for people, animals, and climate. To contribute to a healthier climate, more biodiversity and better living conditions for everyone, ORTEC started its partnership with Trees for All in 2021. Through this collaboration, we are compensating our CO2 emissions and contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of no poverty, climate action, and life on land.
Sustainability has been at the heart of our organization since its foundation in 1981. We believe in our responsibility to our employees, customers and to the world we live in. As a company we want to lead by example, inspiring others to do the same. Therefore, we happily extend our partnership with Trees for All for another three years to increase even further our positive impact on our planet: up to and including 2025.
“Thanks to our partnership extension, ORTEC also supports us the coming years with our mission and greening our earth. That’s fantastic news” says Aletta Janssen, Senior Relationship Manager at Trees for All.
ORTEC’s donations go to various international (re)forestation projects, as well as the ‘ORTEC company forest’ near Liempde in the Netherlands. At this location, the annual Partner Tree Planting Day was organized last week. Some ORTEC employees joined to roll up their sleeves: they got their hands and feet dirty to create the beginning of what will one day be a thriving forest.
To reverse deforestation, Trees for All is supporting sustainable forest projects. It is their mission is to plant new forests worldwide and to restore existing forests. This way they contribute to a better climate, more biodiversity and better living conditions for local people.
