ORTEC receives Carbon Neutral Certification in accordance with PAS 2060
Read time: 1 minuteWe are proud to announce that ORTEC received its official “Carbon Neutral Certification in accordance with PAS 2060”. The certification is a valuable and important acknowledgement for the steps we are making in our journey towards an impact organization.
The Carbon Neutral Certification was granted based on our Qualifying Explanatory Statement (QES), detailing our carbon footprint, the measures taken to reduce carbon emissions and the purchase of carbon credits to offset the remaining emissions.
Our total of activities leaves a footprint of 1.535,82 MT CO2eq, and we reduced them to zero through the purchasing of carbon offsets in accordance with the requirements of the PAS2060. PAS2060 is the only internally recognized guideline on how to achieve carbon neutral business operations or products.
If we want to use our passion for mathematics to create a better world, we need to optimize our positive contribution to the SDGs, while minimizing the negative impact of our work. The Carbon Neutral Certification is the icing on the cake for the actions we are taking to fulfil our purpose.
