ORTEC for SAP S/4HANA® Achieves SAP Certified Integration with SAP S/4HANA
Bremen, March 2022 - Software company ORTEC GmbH today announced that its logistics add-on, ORTEC for SAP S/4HANA® rel. 4.0, has achieved SAP certification as integration with SAP S/4HANA. The certification was issued by the SAP Integration and Certification Center in Walldorf.
“With this SAP certification, we can guarantee that our ORTEC logistics optimization add-on meets all guidelines for integration with the latest version of SAP S/4HANA”, explains Stefan Althoff, Senior Product Manager at ORTEC. “The add-on enables comprehensive logistics planning for companies and service providers that use SAP technology, for example for load space optimization or route planning.”
New 3D loading diagram and map visualization
The ORTEC developers have also made several improvements with the release of the new add-on in terms of user friendliness. Our updated and extended ORTEC application OS4 stands for ORTEC for SAP S/4HANA, rel. 4.0. As an example, users can now use OS4 with the modern web frontend from SAP application. This is accompanied by a brand-new 3D loading diagram and an appealing new map visualization of the suggested routes.
An application directly from the web frontend from SAP reduces the demands on the user’s own IT infrastructure and allows for cost savings for additional licensing, such as for Windows or SQL servers.
Fast certification and availability are important
“Many of our national and international customers, especially from the consumer goods industry, are promptly switching to the latest versions of SAP technology,” adds Kai Franke, Product Manager at ORTEC. “For them, the fast certification and availability of our add-on is key in allowing them to keep up with SAP innovation cycles.”
In the future, ORTEC will continue to have its optimization add-ons certified alongside the latest product versions of SAP S/4HANA. Althoff announces: “This way, we give our customers long-term planning security and assurance that they can communicate with the latest releases from SAP.”
The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified that ORTEC for SAP S/4HANA, rel. 4.0 integrates with SAP S/4HANA as an add-on to ABAP programming language for use with SAP S/4HANA application.
