We are looking for a Medior Analytics Consultant to join our growing consulting team!

Your role as a Medior Analytics Consultant
Organizations across different industries face complex planning and operational decisions. Every client operates in a different context, with its own processes, priorities and challenges. As a Medior Analytics Consultant, you will work closely with clients to understand these challenges and translate them into clear, actionable solutions. You will combine analytical thinking, business understanding and technology to help clients evaluate trade-offs, improve their planning and make better-informed decisions. You will take ownership of workstreams, contribute to solution design and implementation, and help clients turn analytical insights into tangible business outcomes. Your activities include:
- Engage directly with clients to understand their business context, processes and decision-making needs.
- Translate client requirements into analytical models, AI-powered prototypes and practical solutions.
- Design and develop software that supports planning and operational decision-making.
- Advise clients on trade-offs and recommendations based on analytical insights and business objectives.
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of solutions, taking ownership of adoption and measurable business value.

Who you are
• You have a Master’s degree in Econometrics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
• You have 2-5 years of relevant experience in consulting, analytics, data science, optimisation or software development.
• You are based in the Netherlands or Romania and can communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• You communicate clearly, are proactive, enjoy collaborating in a team and are comfortable challenging assumptions and making recommendations.
• You enjoy building strong client relationships and guiding stakeholders towards informed decisions.
• You are comfortable taking ownership of project deliverables and driving them to successful implementation.
• You are comfortable working from an ORTEC office, a client’s location or from home.
• You enjoy solving complex problems using mathematics, data and technology and have experience with modelling and programming, particularly in Python.
• You are ambitious, curious and interested in working across different industries and client environments.
• You enjoy sharing knowledge and supporting the development of other colleagues.

What we offer:
Permanent contract waiting for you (we believe in commitment!)
Salary range: € 4700 - € 5500 gross per month (depending on experience and interview evaluations).
25 annual leave days, additional days from the age of 35
