ORTEC Infrastructure & Automation team is looking for full-time Senior System Engineer that will develop our cloud hosting platforms that deliver SaaS to more than 380 customers.

Role Overview
As a Senior System Engineer on the Infrastructure & Automation team, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions, automate processes, and ensure seamless operations of mission-critical systems. You will collaborate closely with developers, architects, and other stakeholders to drive innovation and operational efficiency. This is an elevated position requiring hands-on and solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
· Infrastructure Management: Build, maintain, optimize and document on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
· Automation: Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as MS ADO, Bicep, PowerShell to automate deployments and configurations.
· Monitoring & Performance: Implement and develop monitoring solutions to ensure visibility into system health, performance, and capacity planning.
· Security & Compliance: Ensure infrastructure security best practices and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
· Collaboration: Work closely with other teams like architects, operations, and security to ensure smooth delivery pipelines and infrastructure alignment.
Who you are
You have:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Significant technical knowledge on any of the following areas: Azure cloud with focus on infrastructure/resource management (e.g. VM – servers, storage, network), virtual environment management, Microsoft Windows Server roles (e.g Active Directory, DFS, Remote Desktop classical and web, IIS), Enterprise firewall and antivirus solutions, Log management, SSO, Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions.
Strong negotiation, organizational, presentation, writing, and verbal communication skills.
Highly driven passionate person who consistently exceeds goals and expectations
Experience and passion for learning (technical and soft skills); implementing practices from others; trying, failing and learning from that; sharing practices and knowledge for others’ benefit.
Good written and verbal English skills
You might also have:
Expertise in cloud environments and architecture
Certification in following areas: MS Azure, Linux, Windows Server
Clear understanding of common compliance and data privacy legislation (e.g. ISO 27001, SOC-2, GDRP).
