We are looking for a Junior Analytics Consultant to join our growing consulting team!

Your role as a Junior Analytics Consultant
Organizations across different industries face complex planning and operational decisions. Every client operates in a different context, with its own processes, priorities, and challenges. As a Junior Analytics Consultant, you will work closely with clients to understand these challenges and translate them into clear, actionable solutions. You will combine analytical thinking, business understanding, and technology to help clients evaluate trade-offs, improve their planning, and make better-informed decisions. Your activities include:
- Engage directly with clients to explore their business context, processes and decision-making needs.
- Translate client requirements into analytical models, AI-powered prototypes and practical solutions.
- Develop software that supports planning and operational decision-making.
- Collaborate with consultants and business stakeholders to translate analytical results into clear recommendations and proactively advise clients on trade-offs.
- Implement and continuously improve solutions, taking ownership of their adoption and delivering measurable business value.

Who you are:
You have a Master’s degree in Econometrics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field and are ready to start your professional career
You are based in the Netherlands and can communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
You communicate clearly, are proactive, enjoy collaborating in a team and are comfortable challenging assumptions and making recommendations
You are curious about how organizations operate and motivated to build strong client relationships
You are comfortable working from an ORTEC office, a client’s location or from home
You enjoy solving complex problems using mathematics, data and technology and have experience with modelling and programming, particularly in Python
You are ambitious, curious and interested in working across different industries and client environments

What we offer:
Permanent contract waiting for you (we believe in commitment!)
Salary range: € 3500 - € 4400 gross per month (depending on experience and interview evaluations).
25 annual leave days, additional days from the age of 35
