Job Description

As SVP Operations Americas, you are responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and strategic direction of ORTEC Americas' Operations business. You have executive authority over business operations, organizational strategy, people leadership, and operational governance across the region.

You will lead the Operations organization, overseeing our three operations-focused business segments: Continuous Improvement, Operations Loading & SAP, and Operations Routing. Working closely with the EVP Supply Chain Planning, the SVP Sales & Accounts, and the Global Supply Chain Planning Leadership Team, you will drive sustainable growth, operational excellence, and customer success throughout the Americas.

What You'll Do

Lead Strategy and Business Performance

  • Define and execute the strategic direction of the Americas Operations business.

  • Translate strategic objectives into operational and commercial plans.

  • Drive sustainable growth, profitability, and operational excellence across the region.

  • Contribute to the long-term development of ORTEC's global Supply Chain Planning strategy.

Lead the Operations Organization

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Operations Management Team.

  • Build a high-performing organization through coaching, succession planning, talent development, and employee engagement.

  • Lead capacity planning and recruitment activities to support business growth.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the successful delivery of Operations projects and customer portfolios.

  • Ensure efficient, high-quality, and scalable operational processes.

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive improvement initiatives.

  • Lead organizational change and process optimization efforts that enhance business performance.

Own Financial and Resource Management

  • Manage operational budgets, forecasting, and business planning activities.

  • Monitor financial performance, revenue growth, margins, and operational costs.

  • Ensure effective allocation of resources to support strategic priorities.

  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Governance, Risk, and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Establish and maintain effective operational controls and reporting mechanisms.

  • Identify and mitigate operational risks.

  • Ensure business continuity plans are in place and regularly reviewed.

Customer and Stakeholder Leadership

  • Ensure operations consistently deliver exceptional value and customer satisfaction.

  • Build strong relationships with customers, strategic partners, and suppliers.

  • Collaborate effectively across Sales, Product, Finance, and Global Leadership teams.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by providing insights and recommendations based on operational performance and market trends.

Technology and Innovation

  • Drive the adoption of technologies, systems, and best practices that improve operational performance.

  • Encourage innovation and continuous improvement across teams.

  • Support initiatives that strengthen ORTEC's competitive position and customer impact.

Who you are

  • A Bachelor's degree in Econometrics, Management Science, Operations Research, Logistics, Data Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • 6+ years of experience in leadership roles within consulting, supply chain planning, software solutions, or operational excellence environments.

  • Experience operating in customer-facing, solution-selling organizations.

  • Success in scaling and leading geographically dispersed and cross-functional teams.

  • Strong executive stakeholder management and commercial leadership capabilities.

  • Expertise in Supply Chain Planning, Advanced Planning Systems (APS), analytics, and optimization-driven solutions.

  • Experience leading strategic programs, business transformation initiatives, and complex operational organizations.

  • Industry knowledge within retail, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, energy, or related sectors.

  • The ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with operational execution and business performance management.

Travel

  • Up to 20% domestic travel.

  • Up to 10% international travel.
