Recognition celebrates Davis' leadership in supply chain analytics, product innovation, and mentorship of emerging supply chain professionals

ORTEC is pleased to announce today that Data Scientist and Product Owner Alison Davis has been named a 2026 Women in Supply Chain Award recipient by Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. Davis is honored in the Rising Stars category, which recognizes emerging female leaders who are making significant contributions to the supply chain industry through innovation, leadership, and a commitment to advancing the future of logistics.

With a background spanning industrial engineering, data science, analytics, and supply chain optimization, Davis is part of a new generation of supply chain professionals who are combining advanced analytics with real-world operational expertise. As Data Scientist and Product Owner for ORTEC's B2B analytics applications (DnA), she works closely with customers and internal teams to develop analytics capabilities that help organizations improve transportation performance and make more informed decisions.

After earning both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from the University of Louisville, Davis joined ORTEC's Data Driven Logistics team, where she helped organizations transform operational data into actionable supply chain insights. Her progression from analytics specialist to product owner has enabled her to connect customer needs, advanced analytics, and day-to-day logistics operations.

At ORTEC, Davis has played a key role in expanding self-service analytics capabilities within the company's DnA platform, enabling users to independently explore supply chain data and uncover insights. She has also led initiatives to strengthen data quality and analytics reliability, helping organizations build greater confidence in data-driven recommendations. Through her work analyzing Planned vs. Actual performance using Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and Proof of Delivery (POD) data, Davis has helped customers identify operational inefficiencies, improve planning accuracy, and uncover opportunities to reduce transportation costs.

"As a past award recipient, I know firsthand the significance of being recognized among the outstanding women shaping the future of our industry," said Daphne de Poot, SVP, Operations at ORTEC and a Women in Supply Chain 2022 honoree. "Alison exemplifies the qualities that define a true Rising Star: curiosity, technical excellence, innovation, and a commitment to helping others succeed. Her ability to turn complex data into practical supply chain insights has created meaningful value for our customers, while her dedication to mentoring colleagues is helping develop the next generation of analytics leaders."

Davis is also passionate about developing future supply chain and analytics leaders. She regularly mentors early-career colleagues, including professionals transitioning from internships into full-time roles, helping them build technical skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of how data can solve complex business challenges. Her leadership approach emphasizes curiosity, continuous learning, and the importance of asking the right questions to drive better outcomes.

"I'm honored to be recognized among so many talented women making an impact in supply chain," said Davis. "This award reflects the support of the mentors, colleagues, and customers who have helped shape my journey. I'm passionate about using data and analytics to help organizations make better decisions while also supporting the next generation of professionals entering this industry."

The 2026 Women in Supply Chain Awards spotlight female supply chain leaders whose accomplishments, mentorship, and advocacy are shaping the future of the industry. Winners are listed here and will be honored at this year's Women in Supply Chain Forum™, Nov. 17-19, 2026, in Charleston, SC.
